Summer holidays in the mountains: active in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena

Exciting family offers, hikes to crystal-clear mountain lakes with Caribbean-blue water and more than 100 mountain bike tours make the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena a varied active region. New this year: three trail running routes of different lengths and levels.

Athletes, connoisseurs and families welcome

Right behind the border between Bavaria and Tyrol, the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena opens its doors. Mountain bikers can explore the "best bike region in Austria" on more than 100 marked tours with a total length of 4,330 kilometres. On hiking trails to hidden mountain lakes, guests experience nature in all its originality. Golfers can tee off on the 9-hole course of Tiroler Zugspitz Golf with a wonderful view of the Wetterstein massif. And so that summer holidays become a special experience for the little ones too, there is an exciting holiday programme for the whole family.

Sporting challenges or gentle winter activities await you in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.

Small ski areas, great infrastructure

In the Ehrwalder Alm ski area, a new 6-seater chairlift with heated seats and weather protection hood shortens the way up to the Issentalkopf. Only last year a new 10-seater gondola opened in Lermoos. In addition, a new après-ski hut, the BrentAlm, was built at the valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn.

Ski area hopping "right on your doorstep"

Toll-free skiing fun: 139 kilometres of slopes and 56 lifts are spread over seven varied ski areas – from glacier skiing on the Zugspitzplatt to the sunny slopes of the Ehrwalder Alm, the Wettersteinbahnen, Biberwier, Berwang or Lermoos. Everyone from racing carver to leisure skier, from little ones to beginners will find their dream area.
